Now, Osasco is racing to send an injunction to the CBV to get a final 'ok' and be able to put the athlete on court.

The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) released a note informing that it was informed of the decision of the 44th Civil Court of Rio de Janeiro, pronounced at 7:12 pm on Friday (16), which partially defended an application for guardianship made by athlete Tifanny Pereira de Abreu.

According to the entity, in compliance with the court order, the athlete will have an exceptional and provisional playing condition for the match of the Women's Super Cup 2026 and the women's super league 2027 / [3] The CBV points out that the measure is temporary and that the Judgment itself has decided that the matter remains subject to Sports Justice, where it processes the Warrant No. 002 / [4] Guardianship will be reviewed as soon as the final judgment of that case is notified.

The CBV also stated that it would lodge appropriate appeals and take the necessary measures to try to overturn the decision.The confederation reiterated its commitment to respect for the dignity of all athletes and rejected any manifestation of discrimination.

What it means for the fan

For the fans, the central point is that the judicial decision may put Tifanny on court in the Women's Super Cup, but the situation remains judicially unstable. Osasco needs to formalize an injunction to CBV, the entity speaks in a provisional character and already signals appeal.
