League of Nations: Norway and Spain win in first leg; selections prepare for second round

The 2027 Nations League had its first round marked by heavy wins on the weekend. Norway, with two goals from Haaland, defeated Denmark in the competition's debut. With the result, the Norwegian national team reached the second round of Group A4 with three points, as well as Portugal, who also made their debut with victory.

At Wembley Stadium in London, Spain beat England 3-2 on Saturday in an electrifying first-round Nations League clash that featured two draws and a missed penalty with goals from stars Lamine Yamal and Harry Kane.

The match between England and Spain took place at 3:45 pm (Brasília), for the 1st round of the first phase of the competition, opening the path of the teams in the group.

The Nations League is a national team competition organized into groups, in which teams face each other in qualifying rounds within their respective keys such as Group A4, where Norway and Portugal contend for the lead.
