Why was the shirt tossed ADA ahead of schedule?

Germany is ending its 72-year partnership with Adidas, and the brand's last shirt for the national team was scheduled to be released only in November.

The anticipation was not by chance coincided with the debut of Jürgen Klopp in charge of the German team.

The design: black, gold and 24,000 clubs

The shirt is black with golden details and a visual that goes back decades.The stripes are formed by small diamonds representing the more than 24,000 clubs of German football base.

The white appears in three lines on the sleeves and part of the collar. On the chest, there is the old coat of arms of the German Football Federation and the Trefoil, Adidas' classic symbol with three leaves.

The plan that didn't work: the 1990 green

The initial idea was to bring back the green uniform from 1990 year when Germany won the World Cup in Italy.

1954 to 2027: a story in numbers

The relationship between Adidas and the German national team began in 1954, the year of the world title in the so-called "Miracle of Bern". Since then, the brand has dressed the German team in four World Cup victories (1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014) and EuroCup campaigns.

What comes next

At the end of this year, Adidas resigns and from 1 January 2027, Nike takes over as the new supplier of the German national team.
