Week 6 of NFL: a Monday Night Football to maintain invincibility

On offense, Brock Purdy threw for 264 yards and a touchdown, while Christian McCaffrey scored two rushing touchdowns.

The game had a controlled start by San Francisco, a response from Washington in the second half and a tense finish with points scored, decisive defensive plays and the constant threat of a turnaround.

First quarter, San Francisco takes the lead with a pass to Kittle and run by McCaffrey.

From the first campaign, San Francisco showed why they were undefeated. Washington's defense was unable to avoid a precise pass and the visiting team came out on top.

The Commanders attempted to respond, but the reaction came in small doses: Drew Stevens hit a 51-yard field goal; on the next drive, however, San Francisco extended: McCaffrey entered the endzone running with the ball.

Second quarter: Washington pushes, but does not take advantage of turnover

The second quarter had Washington's best moment so far, the Commanders struggled to run with the ball and Jayden Daniels was unable to hurt the opposing defense on his pass.

The Washington fans saw a chance to turn the game around, but the possession wasn't taken very well.

The worst news came in the closing minutes of the second quarter. Mike Evans made a reception, landed on the grass and left the field limping straight into the locker room. The injury increased San Francisco's alertness. Still, the campaign had its upside: McCaffrey scored his second touchdown of the game, again running for one yard.

Third quarter: Commanders balance with Diggs and leave the game open

In the break Washington improved, defense limited San Francisco to just one field goal in the third quarter and offense responded with Stefon Diggs scoring a touchdown on Daniels' nice pass, narrowing the gap.

The Commanders showed that they could compete, and San Francisco lost some control of the game.

There was still a touchdown in the final minutes for the Commanders, but it was nullified by an Chris Paul face mask from Washington's guard.

The defense showed up when the game was at its most tense. Malik Mustapha made an incredible play to stop Treylon Burks's touchdown. In the closing seconds, Washington still tried to threaten, but the match ended with a sack by Romello Height.
