Denver Nuggets opened the training period for the season20262727 of.NBA The group started the first sessions with the base already established and new reinforcements arriving.

The central goal has been to reach the actual playing condition before the official engagements. For those who follow the team, the point is clear: the cast wants to start the new season with better rhythm, defense and collective reading than presented in the first practices.

Development: Jokic talks about the new mix and veterans charge defense

After Tuesday's practice, Serbian franchise star Nikola Jokic commented on the arrival of new players to the squad. The starting lineup is the same but there are a lot of young players, Jokic said. "I think they will be good".

When asked about how the main quintet worked together, the player smiled and replied: It seems normal, it sounds automatic. It seems that you know what we should do. The speech sums up the most important point of the beginning of work: the base game is still known even with the arrival of reinforcements.

Early training usually has a disorganized pace, with players still excited.[citation needed] Denver Nuggets , however, used this period to take immediate responsibility in defence.

DeMar DeRozan is one of the reinforcements that needed to find their rhythm quickly because of the altitude. Coach David Adelman saw the site as a great conditioning tool: the height forces players to develop endurance faster than rivals who train at sea level. Meanwhile, Sombor native Nikola Jokic and the rest of the leadership group closely follow the younger rookies.

Current schedule: preseason this Sunday and season opener on October 22nd.

The team is using CU Boulder's training facility.2026 Their preseason opener takes place this Sunday against Utah Jazz at the CU Events Center.NBA After that game, Denver Nuggets will have four remaining games in the preseason.

The regular season opener is scheduled for October 22nd, against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center.

What does that mean for anyone who follows Denver Nuggets ?

Jokic's assessment suggests that the starting structure remains familiar, but the real test will be turning defensive charge and physical adaptation into consistency during pre-season.
