The starting point: switching between several teams and charging from the first choice

The Dallas Mavericks held their preseason media day on Friday, and the center of attention was Zaccharie Risacher. The 21-year-old French winger arrived at the team in a multi-team trade during the offseason.

Risacher's stint in Atlanta spanned two seasons and 145 games. From the moment he was chosen as number 1, the Frenchman went through an intense charge, and performance has not yet become regular. The franchise decided to go another way.

The impact of leaving and Trae Young's support

After the trade went public, Atlanta Hawks owner Trae Young posted a message of support for his former teammate.

Speaking to reporters about leaving Atlanta and adapting to the new team, Risacher was asked if the change of environment could help him develop his full potential.

A thank you to Trae. Throughout my career at NBA, he's been with me from day one, so I really appreciate him a lot.

Training, confidence and what changes in Dallas

Risacher himself stated that the period in Atlanta was productive for his maturation: "It's been good. I learned a lot from both seasons. I could play at a high level and compete every night, and it was great".

In Dallas, the expectation is to find a clearer fit. "Being able to be myself for the team will be huge for me", he said. "I know what I can do.

For the fans, the reading is straightforward: the Mavericks receive a young player with an outstanding history in European basketball but who still needs to prove regularity at the club.NBA In a team that now reorganizes its roster, this fresh start could be the starting point for a new role within the group.

The pre-season schedule until October 21st

The work starts immediately. Risacher said that he couldn't wait to start pre-season training the next day and projected a great season: "I can't look forward to starting preseason training tomorrow, and overall I am very excited.

The Dallas Mavericks will play two preseason games against the Houston Rockets in Macau, then return to American Airlines Center to host the New Orleans Pelicans and the Rockets themselves.

How far along is the project now?

The Dallas Mavericks are currently in the integration phase: media day, pre-season training, Macau playoffs and preparation for the regular season. For Risacher, it's a controlled restart; he joins a new team with an opportunity to erase the instability of the previous two years and show as early as October 21 if he can sustain the level expected from a first overall pick.

The Commission therefore concludes that there is a likelihood of continuation or recurrence of dumping should the measures lapse.
