What happened?

Kai Havertz has left the Seleção Alemã training camp with a muscle injury and is returning to Arsenal for further treatment.

How was the injury?

The problem appeared in the 1-1 draw between Germany and Netherlands. Havertz felt the back of his thigh and had to be replaced 30 minutes into the first half. The German federation confirmed, after imaging examination, that forward , 27, suffered a muscle strain and was released from the group led by Jurgen Klopp.

Why the news worries Emirates

Last season, Havertz was out for almost five months due to a knee injury and this season he has been an important piece: starting all five of Arsenal's games in Premier League , with Mikel Arteta preferring him over the Swede Viktor Gyökeres in attack reference.

Arsenal are reportedly hopeful that this new setback will not be serious but the club must act with caution precisely because of the player's injury history.

Next steps

Arsenal return to the pitch on 10 October when they host Leeds at Emirates Stadium, but until then the medical department will assess Havertz's recovery time and Arteta will decide who takes charge of the attack if the German is not available.

The current moment is waiting: the next evaluations in London will determine whether the fans can breathe a sigh of relief or if the team will have another heavy defeat in the offensive sector.
