Why this page exists
Anyone who follows English football knows that a season is long, clubs are impatient and the chair of coaching is one of the hottest in the world.
It is precisely for this reason that BBC Sport maintains a monitoring service (tracker) dedicated to recording all the entries and exits of non-English football coaches.
What competitions are covered?
The BBC's coverage reaches well beyond the Premier League.The service covers five competitions:
- English Premier League an elite of English football, where the pressure for results is very intense;
- Scottish Premiership the Scottish First Division, with emphasis on traditional competition between Glasgow clubs;
- The women's Super League (WSL) the leading women's football league in England, increasingly relevant on a global scale;
- English Football League (EFL) as access divisions of English football below the Premier League; and, in particular:
- The National League a quinta divisão inglesa, an entry point to professional football.
This breadth is what differentiates the service: while much of the press focuses only on Premier League demissions, the BBC's tracker also records changes in categories that rarely appear in our spotlights, but which move the market for technicians throughout the year.
Stop or twist, or move
For those who follow English football in Brazil, a centralized register of these changes helps to understand the momentum of each season including minor clubs, which often reveal technicians that later reach the elite.
Access to the service is free and open on BBC Sport's website, making it a practical reference for quick consultation.
Where are we now?
A trend, within the logic of English football, is that the market continues to move throughout the season and whoever wants to follow closely has a consolidated starting point.
